I have a 2006 lexus IS 350. I got into minor car accident a few months ago where I drove over a dead deer carcass. I needed to have some body work done to replace the front bumper and repair the under carriage.
But now when I drive it, it doesn't seem very smooth at all. I feel every bump in the road, the car seems to lurch and jerk forward when i'm coming to a stop or accelerating from a stop. Does anyone know what is going on?
Answer:
By the way there could be a number of different things to cause what you have described, but if this didn't do it before the accident and has been doing it since then I would suggest that you take it to another body shop tell them what it is doing and ask if they can look closely to the under carriage, to include the tie rods also have them check and insure that the transmission hasn't been jerked away or partly away from the motor. Your information is a bit ambiguous but I have tried to cover those things that come to my mind.
